SUMMARY:

With the increasing regulation of GDPR procedures, companies are finding difficulties in monitoring the consumer habits of their customers. 

“First-party data” is a way of collecting data in which a customer intentionally and proactively shares their information with a brand. It can include preference data, purchase intentions, personal context, and how the individual wants the brand to recognize [them].
